Brass Table Finds in VAUD!

Ok so I am still on the hunt for the perfect brass table, chic and cheap. So this means something 2nd hand. See my previous post regarding my inspiration rooms using brass tables here.

I searched on http://www.anibis.ch/ today and these are my brass table finds:

This brass table here is only 80CHF in Geneva. Simple

straight lines, very modern. I like it.

These brass nesting tables are 100CHF in Crissier here. Althought I

would def talk them down in price and replace the dark glass with
either reflective glass or clear. Use a little Franglish.

This vintage looking brass bar cart is only 100CHF in
Lausanne here. Looks like it's in excellent condition.

This lucite, glass and brass table here, is in Geneva for 250CHF.

Very modern, chic and would go with almost any decor. Love it!
I have seen these new for 1k or more around VAUD area.

This brass and marble table is only 70CHF here! Located in Geneva.

This one is my favorite! Does the elephant come with it? If so SOLD!

This table is only 30CHF in Gland here. Yes it's really

only 30 CHF as it's being sold at a second hand non

profit shop, bet they don't realize how instyle it is...

Please Dear Lord....

...please let me have been the first person to ask to buy this lucite and glass coffee table that was just posted on Anibis.ch minutes ago for really, super duper cheap and it looks like it's in great condition!

Okay, sorry for the run on sentence, but I am dying over the lucite table selling for only 50 chf!!!  Is it a typo? Did they mean 500chf, surely not 50...but I pray it's correct!

UPDATE:
The coffe table is only 50chf.  I am going to go see the table on Friday and possibly take it home!  It helps when you have friends like this:

A great, wonderful, dear, patient friend who stops cooking at dinner time to listen to you begging her to call someone in French to make an appointment to see the table you just saw on Anibis and buy it!


Yes, it helps while living in a forgien country to have awesome friends who speak four to five different languages and put up with you on a daily basis on your drive to obtain all the perfect furniture you desire at affordable prices while living in one of the most expensive countries in the world.  Another run on sentence...I am on a roll today.  Thanks Soph....babysitting coupon for you anytime!

2nd UPDATE:
I went with my two boys in tow to go see the coffee table and the good news; the only thing wrong with it was the metal parts had tarnished and just needed some simple TLC.  The bad new; my boys were trying to climb all over the glass top and bottom part of the table.  Glass and boys do not go together.  I looked at the cost of buy two large sheets of plexiglass to insert into this table and the prices (this is Switzerland) was not very affordable.  So table was a no go...totally bummed.

Seriously, ANIBIS.ch rocks!

Found this desk last night on Anibis.ch for 1100 francs. Trying to talk the hubby into letting me purchase it....it's the perfect antique desk, love, love the legs and the wood grain! Beautiful!


Found these two matching side tables below. Can't wait to pick them up in a week.

I think a good sanding and couple coats of paint and they will be ready to be used as night stands in my bedroom.

Blanc Coffee Table

It has been so hot here in Lausanne that my computer keeps getting over heated and shutting down. It has been mighty frustrating trying to work on new posts that I am not able to save in time. It's times like these that I wish I were back in the states in air condition.

I just wanted to share this chic coffee table I found at www.habitat.fr the other day. I would love to paint this a dark yellow and place it in my living room. Okay heading to the local pool to get some relief from this heat!
